V-MODA Crossfade Wireless

Wireless bluetooth headphones have been the rage for a while now, except maybe to the hardcore audiophile. With established incumbents, ranging from Sennheiser to Beats dominating this market, it seems that V-MODA has finally decided to join the party.

Taking a leaf out of the other manufacturers’ book, the V-MODA Crossfade Wireless is an almost-identical replication of the company’s flagship model, the wired Crossfade M-100. Weighing in at 292 grams and with a battery life of approximate 12 hours, the Crossfade Wireless retails for USD 300 and is currently available in Phantom Chrome and White Silver. The remaining two colours – Gunmetal Black and Rouge – are set for release in 4 to 6 weeks’ time.

Anyone familiar with V-MODA brand knows that their headphones have a solid build which withstands most rough handling. Despite the tough exterior, these headphones deliver stellar sound.

The V-MODA Crossfade Wireless appears to be no different, with the company promising that its wireless headphones will produce an identical sound as its wired counterparts. According to Val Kolton, CEO and founder of V-MODA, this is achieved by installing the Crossfade M-100’s driver into the Crossfade Wireless.

In spite of V-MODA’s initial attempts in resisting a move into the wireless headphones market, we believe that the company’s got a winner with the Crossfade Wireless.
