Can you believe it has been 8 months since Airfrov.com was launched? What started out as a simple idea has evolved into an incredible community of Singaporeans coming together to help one another. As a young startup, the lean team at Airfrov has received tremendous support from everyone including users, advisors and the media. We are where we are because of you! We cannot express enough how grateful we are for your support, but to constantly make improvements to the web and app platform – to provide you an even more holistic experience.
Enough of the thank you speech, we can’t wait to share with you new features on the Airfrov site!
1. Courier Service
We heard your call for delivery options! You can now opt for either Self-Collection (at no charge) or Courier Delivery when you put up a Request. The cost of courier service will be excluded from the “Willing to Pay Price”, and will be fully borne by the requestor.
For SMALL sized items below 5kg and smaller than a carton of A4 paper, it will cost $6 per delivery.
For MEDIUM sized items below 10kg and smaller than a 22inch monitor, it will cost $8 per delivery.
For LARGE sized items below 20kg, it will cost $10 per delivery.
If you prefer the items to be delivered to your door-step, here’s what you should do:
Requestors will receive an SMS with the courier details after the traveller has arranged for the courier service. The delivery time is dependent on our logistic partner’s services, i.e. same day delivery is not guaranteed. The cost of courier service is based on per pick-up-location – if you have multiple requests to be picked-up from multiple travellers, you’ll be charged per pick-up. For multiple item collection, the option for self-collection at Airfrov’s collection centre @ 36 Purvis Street remains open!
2. Status of Request
We have also expanded on the status of each request. You can now view the 4 stages of each request:
Open: Awaiting help/offer from the traveller
Offered: Traveller has offered to help, awaiting requestor to accept
Accepted: Requestor has accepted travellers’ help and deposited the amount
Completed: Traveller has returned and delivered the item, request is completed!

What can be found exclusively overseas, or is cheaper in another country? Our travellers know best! So we have invited our “Verified Travellers” to post “Recommendations” of what they’ve seen overseas, or news of what’s launching soon. To view Recommendations, go to Browse -> Countries Page, and click on the light bulb beside “Requests” or on the Airfrov iPhone App. Like what our travellers recommended? Just click on “+” button to copy the request!
B. Follow Users
Have you found another Airfrov-er who shares the same interest or taste as you? Have you found a user who constantly requests for items which you love too? Now you can “Follow” this user and be notified whenever he or she posts a request! Receive first hand update of their new requests, and click “+” if you want the same item.

C. Share Referral Code
#SharingisCaring! Share the great news about Airfrov to your friends by giving them $5 Airfrov Credits! When they have completed their 1st transaction, you will receive $5 credits too!
